Brussels International Center (BIC) Announces Nomination of Ms. Siham Al Jiboury as Vice-President

[Brussels, Belgium – 25/09/2024] — The Brussels International Center (BIC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Siham Al Jiboury as its new Vice-President by the Board of Directors. Ms. Al Jiboury has worked for years at the BIC as a Director on Diplomacy and brings with her a wealth of experience garnered during her extensive career as a former UN official.

With over twenty-five years of dedicated service in peacekeeping and development, Ms. Al Jiboury has played pivotal roles in several critical missions, including her service at the United Nations Mission in Morocco, the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Jordan, and the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (UNSTAMIH).

Within BIC, Ms. Al Jiboury serves as a cornerstone of expertise, providing profound insights into the Middle East and the broader region. Her specialization spans crucial areas such as security, counter-radicalization efforts, human and women's rights, as well as the welfare of religious and ethnic minorities.

In her role as Vice-President, Ms. Al Jiboury will continue to shape BIC's strategic direction, fostering collaborative initiatives aimed at addressing pressing global challenges.
